The Sedona Hike Challenge is the biggest annual event that gathers hikers from different backgrounds, ages and fitness levels. The challenge is set in the Sedona Red Rocks and participants are allowed to choose their difficulty level and then hike 2 trails in order to be entered in the draw and win the prizes offered.
Anyone who wants to enter the challenge is required to choose a difficulty category from the 3 options, which are easy, moderate and difficult. Then they hike two trails that are in that category. The Sedona Hike Challenge which runs from 15th Nov 2013 to 15th March 2014 is organized by a number of sponsors, among them the Hike House, a premier hiking center of Sedona. According to the Hike House owner Greg Stevenson, The Sedona Red Rocks where the challenge is conducted, has more than 100 trails with outstanding beauty and accessibility. Participants can experience the greatest hiking trails in Sedona and win over $1000 in hiking gear, footwear and apparel. The prizes are offered by the largest outdoor companies in the USA and some of the most prominent companies in Sedona.
