State Bank of India, the largest bank in the nation is also one of the largest recruiters in the banking sector. CRPD (Central Recruitment and Promotion Department) in SBI is responsible for conducting the recruitment process for SBI and for Associate Group of SBI. Although the selection procedure and scheme of examination remain the same for both SBI and Associate Group of SBI, two different recruitment processes are conducted for them.
CRPD recruits for various positions among which the post of Clerk is a popular option. The recruitment is done from all over India. So, the final recruited candidates are posted to any location in India.
The recruitment process comprises three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Interview
The preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. This means a candidate scoring greater than or equal to the cut off marks for each section and scoring greater than or equal to overall marks, is eligible to appear into the main examination. Besides, it also means that the Preliminary examination marks are not considered while creating the final merit list.
Candidates qualifying in the preliminary examination have to write the main examination, i.e. stage II. Candidates clearing the main examination will be called for the interview.
A final merit list is prepared based on the combined score of main examination and interview.
Age Limit – Interested candidates must have age between 21 – 30 years.
