Jonathan Murrell, vice president and portfolio manager at Wells Fargo, receives the TOP Award for his Truly Outstanding Performance to create company wide best practices for the Fixed Income Strategy Team.

 
Jonathan Murrell recently received the Wells Fargo 2012 Truly Outstanding Performance (TOP) Award for his hard work and dedication serving with the Fixed Income Strategies Team. Jonathan Murrell has been with Wells Fargo since 2009.

A hardworking and conscientious employee, it’s likely that Jonathan Murrell was surprised and honored to earn this reward. Many in the world of finance work hard to benefit their clients and their employers, so his recognition is evidence of his continued success at Wells Fargo.

At Wells Fargo, Jonathan Murrell is one of 37 members on the Fixed Income Strategy Team. The team meets bi-weekly and debates expected interest rates and yield curve positioning so they can better plan strategies for investors. It was Jonathan Murrell’s dedication and sharp economic understanding that made him the perfect choice for the 2012 Wells Fargo TOP Award.

Jonathan Murrell has enjoyed success throughout his entire career. Before he joined the team at Wells Fargo, Jonathan Murrell served at Citigroup Global Markets, Wachovia Securities, and Fidelity Management and Research Company. Jonathan Murrell earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at Florida A&M University and received his Master of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Aside from Jonathan Murrell’s dedication to ethical business practices and investment planning, his philanthropic work also made him an excellent candidate for the Wells Fargo TOP Award. Jonathan Murrell has always had a passion for equal opportunity education as well as health awareness, so it’s no surprise that he annually donates over 10 percent of his gross income to philanthropies that support these causes.

Alongside his gracious financial donations, Jonathan Murrell has always directly helped others. He is a Child Life volunteer, where he personally comforts families in the emergency room every other week. He has also taught conversational English in China to help students excel in a world where knowing fluent English helps strengthen your professional network.
