Kesher is pleased to announce it will be celebrating its Annual Scholarship Journal Dinner. Hosted on May 2, 2018, this will be the 22nd year the event will be celebrated. The dinner not only honors people from the community and school, but is also one of the paramount fundraising events of the year for Kesher. All proceeds from the dinner will directly benefit the Kesher Scholarship Fund.

The dinner itself includes a cocktail hour held before a sit-down dinner and program at the Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus. Those who have helped make the event a success this year include dinner co-chairs, Gabrielle Schpilberg and Jael Toledo, journal chair, Susie Goldberg, and Leslie Ross, the chair of the Children’s Art Project.

This year, the dinner will feature three student volunteer award recipients: Alyssa Goldberg, Eric Getzel and Sara Moskovitz, as well as honorees Dawn and Jordan Rosenhaus and Thabatta and Igal Mizrahi. The Rosenhaus’ are extremely supportive of Kesher. Jordan, a member of the board of directors, and Dawn, an integral part of fundraising at Kesher, are parents to three children, one of whom is enrolled at Kesher. They are hands-on, involved and always place family first. The Mizrahi’s are engaged in their community, where you can find them active at their children’s school, their synagogue, the JCC and The Greater Miami Jewish Foundation. Thabatta, the associate head of school, is a vital piece in its success and has helped with expansion and development of new programs and ideas that have advanced the school. Igal, an international cinematography company owner, travels widely and through projects together, he and Thabatta share the message of Kesher.

The annual scholarship dinner is one to remember. The community acknowledges it as an entertaining and delightful evening. To learn more about the dinner, call 305-792-7060 or view the Kesher website.
