MBA is becoming a popular course among the students. More number of students are drawn year after year to pursue this course. There are multiple reasons behind this surge in the number of students inclined to pursue a program in business administration. The very obvious one is the packages that the MBA graduates are offered after the completion of the course. The MBA graduates, right after the successful completion of their course, are offered alluring packages which can be noted as the main reason for the increasing inclination of students towards this course. A recently conducted survey indicates the same.
According to a global survey by Graduate Management Admission Council, B-School graduates report a significant rise in salary offers over their pre-degree levels. The GMAC survey says that there is an average increase of 90 per cent in salary offers made to them over their pre-degree salary. The survey was conducted among 3.320 graduate management students in the class of 2015 at 112 universities in 29 countries. As per the survey, about 59 per cent of job-seeking graduate management students in the class of 2015 received an early job offer before their graduation. Domestic students are more likely to receive an early job offer as compared to the international students, the survey stated.
A large number of Indian students go abroad for higher education every year. About 7 lakh students went for higher education in foreign countries, according to a study conducted by ASSOCHAM, which is a significant rise from 2.9 lakh in 2013.
Even though the students going to foreign countries to pursue MBA are significantly high, the competition for the same course in the home country i.e. India is still very high. Each year about 200,000 students compete for the MBA seats offered at different MBA colleges in India. The students graduating from the Top MBA Colleges in India not only receive good placements but they are also trained to manage critical situations effectively and efficiently. Some of the top MBA colleges in India are Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS Delhi), Indian School of Business (ISB) etc.
