"I have been using the DOM machine in my clinic for eight months. Initially I was doubtful about how effective it would be as I had very little experience of it and had a very good success rate with my patients already. I find it extremely effective in tendinopathy, particularly where there is poor blood flow (e.g. Achilles tendon). I have also found it very helpful in acute mechanical back pain patients. After assessment I find a combination of mobilizations, manipulation (when appropriate) DOM and a graduated exercise programme works extremely well for many patients.

I have also had success with patients following cosmetic procedures such as tummy tuck and liposuction, where they achieve a more even result. One of the most impressive things about the machine is that there are very few contraindications for its use, so it can be used where there are few other options.

Patients like the fact that it is an enjoyable pain-free treatment which leaves them feeling better immediately. I like the fact that there is far less pressure on my hands than with conventional massage. I also find the machine very easy to use and the battery life is good.
