He believes that the only possibility to pause such kind of apocalypse is in the far-off distant future, as the technology needed to create cyborgs is still quite a ways off, but not impossible.

According to Harry Coumnas, the mostly likely result of the existing machines turning against us would be just inconvenience. For instance, almost every car functions with the help of a computer, and they probably wouldn't function as desired. The computer system present inside would gain the control, which cuts out that transportation option. It would surely be very difficult to function if the robot apocalypse gradually enters to the computer systems that runs the infrastructure such as utilities, electrical grids, and emergency response systems. It is true that without a proper preparation, mankind should not be able to move an inch in this type of apocalypse.
