The gas valve has an internal pressure relief device, compliant with CGA technical bulletin 27. The body of the propylene valve is constructed from brass and designed for 420 lb DOT cylinder. Two variations of propylene cylinder valves are available, PVE325OR-435 and PVE325OCLG435, both being compatible with 4BW240 and 4BW269 cylinders, which are used for propane as well as propylene.

The special features of PVE325OR is that it is compatible with both propane and propylene cylinders. It is easy to replace the PRV. CGA recommends replacing the PRV every 10 years.

The special features for PVE446B is that it is compatible with 4BW260, propylene cylinder only with a start to discharge pressure of 435 psi.
The body of the propylene valve is constructed from brass C36000, the handwheel is of aluminum with hand wheel screw made from plated steel.

The upper stem is made from PTFE coated brass C36000, lower stem from brass C36000, while the O ring is Buna-N and the lubricant is Drakeol #9 oil.
The safety assembly consists of the safety body made from brass C36000, the spring of stainless steel, the safety seat holder is glass filled nylon. The bonnet locking pin is made from plated hardened steel and the protective cap from vinyl with Everseal 183 being the thread sealant.

The propylene valve PVE3250 series valves available are PVE3250-435, PVE3250CLG435-XX.X”, PVE3250R-435 and OVE446B. These valves are compatible with 4B260, 4BA260, 4BW260, 4BW240 cylinder types. The CGA outlet connection is 510 with inlet connection from 3/4th-14 NGT. The start discharge setting for the propylene valve is 435-520 PSI.
