Jose Poulose is a medical professional who survived paralytic poliomyelitis at the mere age of 5. He was completely paralyzed from the neck down with the devastating neuromuscular disorder. He was completely bedridden and there was no hope left. But after few months, someone told his family about a homeopathic doctor near Manipal, India. He was taken there and began with the intense oil massage. The protocols were intense. But, his mother didn’t lose the courage and repeated it hundred times over and over. After two months, his upper extremity regained strength.

At the age of 6, he started schooling and topped the class for the next 10 years and even got merit scholarship. He fell hundreds of times, but got up each time. Eventually, he got admission to Medical school through Karnataka state entrance test. His parents sacrificed a lot to send him to college and medical school. Through this, he developed a passion to help the poor, sick and needy without expecting much in return. This attitude comes out from his personal struggle with paralytic poliomyelitis and recovery.

Jose Poulose is a medical professional with years of experience in serving patients from different walks of life. He has done his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine from Winthrop University Hospital. He obtained Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiology from the same hospital, Mineola and NY. He is a benevolent person who likes to help the poor and unfortunate people. He practiced in different corners of the world and helped many poor people by providing the best medical facilities. He worked at CMC Hospital in Vellore, India for two years at a very small salary just to help the poor patients. He also raised $10,000 with the help of his friends to complete a stalled clinic project at Morogoro, Tanzania.
