Team spirit and companionship are reflected in the game of rugby. Usually, social barriers and personal ambitions reduce the spirit of true team, the Rugby players; still hold firmly to the sense of humanity with their muddied and cracked bodies.

The rules of life, comradeship, and an honest and fair play are physically manifested in the game of rugby where stylish players giving their hard way wearing colorful unique but same jerseys look very attractive and appealing

Rugby players often wear a rugby shirt, often referred to as a jersey and look quite appealing and stylish. The supporters go crazy on seeing hem in this stylish ensemble. A sense of unity is imparted to the team when they wear these shirts that are common for a team. They also feel motivated and ready to play this game of passion. An identity is given to each player by this jersey that they wear.
Rugby Team wear has some characteristics, such as-

• Rugby team wear are very attractive and usually has short sleeves. At certain times, long sleeves too are seen.
• In Rugby shirts, there is a buttoned opening at the top with a stiffer collar making it a more attractive.
• Often modern rugby shirts have a very small collar.
• Usually, rugby shirts have buttons made up of rubber so that they would, if pulled on in a game, come undone rather than pop off.
• It has a logo on the chest and a number on the back like most sports jerseys.
Nowadays, labels of sponsorship are common and they generally appear on the abdominal area of the shirt.

Five or six horizontal stripes or "hoops" in alternating colors can be seen in a traditional design of Rugby shirt.

• The two most common materials out of which Rugby team wear are made:
# a mix between cotton and polyester
# pure polyester


Traditionally made of cotton, Rugby shirts are now also made of synthetic fabrics as they are relatively cheaper hence they have become incorporated into rugby shirts. Due to the fact that they absorb less water and mud, the preference is given to clothes or rugby teamwear made of polyester.

In rugby league's culture, the extravagant colors and design of rugby league shirts is mostly common and have been common for far longer than rugby union's. Often, the players of the National Rugby League change the shirt design to encourage fans to purchase the latest shirt design every year or so.


In many cultures, the Rugby team wear, has become a popular fashion item, with many manufacturers of clothing producing rugby styles shirts, with the distinctive collar and hooped or squared design.
