Weights won't bulk you up. Weights strengthen your overall body and give you that nice toned physique you are after. You will also boost your metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day when you workout with weights.

 
I know it sounds counter intuitive but if you want to lose weight you have to eat more often. Its not about eating more food though. Its about breaking your food down and eating more meals to consume the same amount of food. Your body is not equipped to metabolize large meals. That's why the whole 3 meals a day is not a good idea. For rapid fat loss you need to eat at least 6 small meals a day. The keyword being small. If you eat 6 large meals a day you will be doubling your caloric intake and gaining more weight.One of the best ways to maximize fat burning is to workout with weights. And don't worry ladies.
