Common myths related to Leather Furniture

Leather Furniture can now be commonly seen in all large offices, nursing homes, palatial apartments and other commercial places.

20th March 2012 - Most people still appreciate the conventional wooden furniture and have a number of misconceptions about Leather Furniture.
Such people are often hard to convince and they come under the category of those stereotypes who do not want to flow with time. Nevertheless, it is important to clear all such misconceptions and the final decision still rests with them.
There are many queries related to leather which still prohibits many to purchase furniture made in this fabric. But once these queries are resolved, they would be the most eager ones to adorn their home with furniture designed in leather. The steep sale of leather furnishing in the last one decade is the greatest evidence of its quality. The sale of such furniture is found to have tripled globally in the last ten years and no wonder many people are trying their hand in this business.
The first myth about using leather as the material of their furniture is that it is believed to be hot in summer and cold in winter which could cause inconvenience to the consumers. The veracity is that leather is a natural material and has the capacity of adjusting to the body temperature. Thus, it cannot cause any inconvenience irrespective of the months of the year. It would adjust accordingly during the summer as well as winter months and would provide great comfort to the consumer.
Some people also believe that leather is more prone to being damaged by pets at home. Since most people keep canines and felines as pets, it would be hard for them to keep such furniture. Such cases are most unlikely to happen as the leather chosen for furniture is provided with a protective polyurethane finish which leaves negligible chance of any such damage.
The most common misconception about leather furniture is that it has a very short life span as it very prone to developing peels and cracks over the period of time. This can never happen under normal conditions prevailing in households. After a long span of time, the color finish may show some deterioration but then it is natural just like the paint on your walls. This can easily be repaired without any hefty expense.
