8th February 2012 - Acne is actually the formation of sebum, microbes or germs and deceased cells stuck in the coating of the skin pores. Acnes are not only the problem of teenagers but around 30 to 50% of the grown-ups do come across with this problem. Many of the best Acne Treatment cream, lotion or gel fails to provide the good result. There are different forms of acne like- comedones, white heads, blackheads, zits, pimples, congested pores, pustules and the major form of acne-cysts.
Acne occurs mostly on the face, chest and back. There are a lot of treatments available for acne in the market, with prescription or without prescription. Though for severe acne problems, it is always advisable to consult the doctor. Mostly acne happens on the body when the sebum closes the openings of the sebaceous gland. This generates germs, and make the adjoin tissues to swollen. This results in the formation of acne.
There are certain other factors which are responsible for causing acnes like- hereditary, food habit- some food like, pizza, fried or greasy food, junk food make cause acne, dirt, stress, hormonal problem, cosmetics, pressure, drugs or high dose medication, occupations,- some acne are caused due to one’s occupation, like exposure to inflammable products or substances.
In order to avoid acnes, there should be self-control and regularity in life, but practically it is almost impossible. Not everybody can have a good nap of eight hours, balanced diet, and excessive drinking of water. But you can still avoid your problem of acne’s, even when your routine is panicky and irregular. You can have regular facials and scrubbing of your face. Never play with your pimples by popping and squeezing it, because if you do it, it will leave a scar or mark in your face, which will take months to die away.
Here are some of the ways through which you can aid yourself from fighting with acne-
Topical antibiotics and antibacterial which are applied externally.
Retin-A, is a very popular medication for acne, and very effective. This actually unblocks the pores of the skin. But it has side effects. Therefore, it should be used after consultation with the doctor.
Oral antibiotics like- tetracycline, cefadroxil, minocycline, sulfa drugs, estrostep, tri-cyclen, yaz, Spironolactone etc., these doses include some side effects like- discomfort, swallowing, sun sensitivity etc. Usually doctors advise for oral medication only when it is really essential and for a short duration.
Injections like- cortisone, it is actually for severe pimples and cysts.
Accutane- it is a brilliant treatment for severe acne primarily for cysts patient. It is safe and has minor side effects like- dry lips, occasional headaches or stomachaches.
Laser treatment- Now, acne can be treated easily and efficiently through lasers. It is safe, effective and permanently. Laser treatment for acne is the best substitute of traditional therapy.
After the acne treatment, some patients are left with marks, spots or unpleasant scar on their face. This can be treated surgically. There are various surgical procedures through which these scars can be successfully eliminated from the skin.
