Clean the Water tank float valve regularly and disinfect it. Especially at the beginning of the season when you take your boat or caravan out of the garage. Even after repairs to the drinking water installation, it is best to disinfect the tank and pipe.

This prevents unwanted bacteria and dirt in the Water tank float valve:

• Drain the tank completely and remove any deposits and debris.
• Fill the tank with a mixture of, for example, Hadex and fresh drinking water. Do this in the right proportion. This is mentioned on the packaging.
• Open the tap until the pipes are filled with the Hadex mixture.

Then rinse the tank and pipes well a few times with clean and fresh drinking water.

Tip 2: Work hygienically

Drain the tank and refill with clean and fresh drinking water. You can use the drained water to scrub the deck of the boat or to clean the windows of the caravan.

Tip 4: Regular inspection and maintenance
