Hurricane Sandy hit Andrew Lesnak the worst and he was introduced to various medical facilities. He got an opportunity to have a word with other victims who were going through the same phase as him. He considered it the part of his recovery process to help others who suffered like him, but had lost their power to move forward in an effective way.

To help the victims of hurricane Sandy, Andrew created a Community Outreach Program where he assisted the victims of catastrophic events. He served as an advocate to those suffering victims. He helped people find quality affordable housing as well as providing them with training to enhance their earning capabilities. He personally involves himself in helping them effectively communicate, plan, organize and make the proper decisions that can lead to a path of creating wealth and homeownership.

Prior to hurricane Sandy, Andrew Lesnak decided to sell his successfully operated financial services firm of more than 25 years. However, his world unexpectedly turned upside down, as he became a victim of Hurricane Sandy. It left him in a state of shock and hopelessness. Unfortunately, every time he tells of his tragic experience, it is accompanied by tears and sorrow. After the storm hit on October 29th of 2012, his life changed dramatically. It is now over 6 years since the hurricane, yet Andrew continues a variety of forms of mental health counseling weekly, to “come to the realization” of his personal losses.

After the hurricane, Andrew Lesnak used volunteerism, in the field of mental health counseling, to be a great form of therapy for himself. He made use of his successful approaches to things that when challenged previously, both personally and professionally has found a way to cope with rebuilding his life.
