The culture is what shapes an individual’s experiences and influences their behavior. With the advent of technology, the transmission of culture has been facilitated by social media.

Culture is derived from the Latin word "cultura" meaning cultivation of land. Through this agricultural root we arrive at the idea of culture as cultivation per se; of the refinement of one's being.
The Department of English at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) School of Commerce and School of Computer Science and IT heralds the 4th national conference on the topic of “Continuity of Culture and Anxieties of Social Structure” at JGI Knowledge Campus, Jayanagar, Bengaluru on the 29th February 2020.
