Clydebank College offer various training and development courses from health and safety to courses for people wishing to work in the gas trade. Clydebank College cater to all people’s needs – some courses are full time, others are part time and some are taught at nights/weekends.
ACS Gas Safety Training and Assessment courses are aimed at engineers wishing to work in the gas industry. These courses are designed to meet the requirements of Gas Safety Training and Assessment to qualify as a Gas Safe Engineer and registration lasts five year with BPEC for each of the ACS Assessments. gas safety certificate courses are taught evenings/weekends and the programme duration is dependent on the selection of gas safety training undertaken. Candidates can enrol for training and assessment separately.
There are certain entry requirements for the Clydebank College gas safety certificate. Prior to taking any specialist subject, candidates must hold a current CCN1 certificate or have completed a CCN1 assessment. Prior to taking the ACS assessment, candidates must provide evidence that they are employed by a Gas Safe Registered company willing to provide an auditable extended period of organisational support and company on-the-job training. Alternatively the candidate must hold the appropriate qualifications – evidence of qualifications is required.
Clydebank College also offers a variety of health and safety training courses. These include Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), Fast Track NEBOSH National Certificate General in Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid at Work (FAW), First Aid at Work (FAW) Requalification Training, Moving and Assisting for Informal Carers, NEBOSH National Certificate General in Occupational Health and Safety. Health and safety training is important as you must ensure staff know how to work safely without posing any risks to themselves or others and know what to do if a situation does arise.
