The Asian American Medical Group or AAMG was set up in the island nation of Singapore in 1994 with the goal to become a pioneer in transplant medicine in the Asia-Pacific region. Another branch of medicine which began at the AAMG is the Asian American Blood and Marrow Transplant Centre or AABMTC which was established in 2013 with the aim to provide treatment for patients suffering with leukaemia symptoms, myeloma, lymphoma, and other blood disorders. The team at the AABMTC will ensure that the patient gets the best treatment along with chemotherapy sessions to transplantation as well as post-transplant care.

To that end, they have started a program of blood stem cell transplantation for treatment of diseases like acute lymphoblastic leukemia, multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, etc. The aim of establishing the AABMTC was to start the bone marrow transplantation program to rebuild patients’ immune system after the rigorous cancer treatment to ensure that all hidden cancerous cells are eliminated. This has now expanded into treatment and therapy for patients with bone marrow failure and myelodysplastic syndrome treatment.
