[b]Pedram Zohrevand[/b] has a hands-on experience of 13 years in structural analysis and design of different residential and commercial buildings with concrete, steel, wood, masonry and hybrid systems. He has been working as the Principal Structural Engineer at CES4 where he conducts and manages all structural engineering projects. He is involved in the assessment, design and rehabilitation of different residential and commercial buildings and seismic retrofit.

Besides his expertise in structural analysis, Pedram is skilled in dynamic analysis and seismic design of different structural systems. Talking about his long-term experience, he has worked with different structural design codes. He also has a great experience in seismic retrofit and strengthening of structures. Additionally, he is proficient in non-linear finite element modeling and seismic simulation of special and complex structures.

Throughout his career, Pedram Zohrevand has accomplished a lot that include –

- Managed a team of about 50 engineers, inspectors, and technicians and reduced vacancies by about 90% in the Public Works Engineering Division at the City of Fort Lauderdale over a span of 15 months.

- Executed project management training at the City of Fort Lauderdale to help the City’s shift away from in-house design to in-house project management.

- Implementation of Adaptation Action Areas policies adopted into the City’s Comprehensive Plan at the City of Fort Lauderdale

- Structural design of the largest building in the US made of shipping containers, four-story building with 13000 sqft area, Miami, FL

- Seismic retrofit of more than 40 apartment buildings in the City of Los Angeles.

While serving as the Principal Structural Engineer, [b]Pedram Zohrevand[/b] has been simultaneously working as Adjunct Professor in Florida International University since April 2012. There, he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses.

[b]About Pedram Zohrevand[/b]

At present, [b]Pedram Zohrevand[/b] is the Director of CES4, having two offices in Florida and California. He did several projects in Florida and earthquake retrofit projects in California. Concerning his educational background, he has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Florida International University, Miami, Florida. He has completed his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran and B.Sc. in the same field from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran.
