October 12 is celebrated as the National Day or “Holiday Nacional de Espana” in Spain. It is additionally called the Hispanic Day or the “Dia de la Hispanidad”. The day is praised to recognize the entry of Columbus in Americas in 1906. It is likewise celebrated as the day of the Armed Forces in Spain.

We likewise praise the Spanish language day on 12 oct. This year Spanish’s festival day was another fabulous achievement.

It was magnificent to have help from some of our Spanish teachers and student in INaWORD. This meant that as well as having their normal Spanish lessons with their guest, children and teacher could benefit from learning from other native speakers.
It was brilliant to see every Spanish student perform a song, dance or sketch in Spanish for us at the start of the day. The level of Spanish was excellent and certainly impressed our Guest. We were very grateful to all of the students and teacher as well. They played games with children throughout the institute and they taught us about various Spanish speaking countries. Reception enjoyed doing some Spanish role plays as well as playing games with the parachute.
