IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, held the IIMT Science Project Fair 2020 during 20 June to 13 July 2020. Fair had been an internet based effort to interact with learners of X, XI and XII and propel them to contribute by sharing their video content of projects / models / posters. It was an amazing response from participants with far more than 500 postings. A great number of such models indicated the level of awareness and enforceability of basic scientific ideas in routine areas of life. The jury listed top five finalists who got prize money and credentials.
IIMT Science Project Fair 2020 was an internet based program organised by IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, during 20 June to 13 July 2020. Science Project Fair 2020 was organised to coordinate among children of X, XI and XII, who are currently pursuing certain path either from central and state board in 2020 and might be feeling restless and anxious to the prolonged lockdown due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
Participants were invited to participate electronically by uploading their project / model / poster images. A large variety of projects and models were generated including Sanitization Tunnel, Anti-Accident Automobiles, LPG Sensor, Tesla Coil Electricity Transmission, Li-Fi and so on. It was rather exciting see school kids talk about Arduino, sensors, and all other topics that are not actually an aspect of their curriculum yet. It indicates that they have been knowledgeable of the advanced technology around them, and they also have an ambition for learning new stuff.
The preliminary round gave an incredible 500 plus input. In the second, the best 12 participants / groups were invited live on a virtual platform to demonstrate their project / model / poster in camera to the panel members. Panel comprised of 2 Principals from Noida area non-participating schools, and 1 Professor from IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida. The juries picked the Top 5 winners who were given cash prizes and awards through live active involvement after round II live session. Here on event, contestants were praised by Deputy Director Dr. Sanjay Pachauri and HOD ECE Dr. Seema Nayak for everyone range of projects and their attempts to practice latest technology.
