Waffle Iron
Waffle iron is a device used in cooking waffles. They are also known with different terminologies like waffle makers, waffle making machines etc. This bakery tool is made up of two metal plates moulded and hinged to create the honeycomb pattern to shape the waffles. The dough is placed in between the metal plates and heated with gas or electricity to bake the waffles.

In early centuries waffle irons were of two metal plates and wooden handles. The plates were designed in a way to imprint natural scenes, landscapes, religious symbols, animals on the waffles and baked over the hearth fire. 19th century was a revolutionary one that has changed the design of waffle making machine and step on the way of new design.
