A lot has been talked about the relationship between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in recent past. But the way the duo celebrated together after winning the T20I series against New Zealand is enough to stop the rumours.

The T20I series finale saw a thrilling ending as it went to Super Over. New Zealand scored 17 runs and Rohit Sharma came with KL Rahul to take Indian team to the finishing line. Eventually the hitman finished the third aT20nd the series with two sixes in a row to win it for India at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Wednesday. Rohit hit Tim Southee’s delivery over long-off for a maximum and the camera showed Indian skipper Virat Kohli running in joy from the dugout to celebrate the victory. Sharma hugged KL after smashing the last over-boundary then Kohli joined them and gave Sharma a tight hug.

No wonder the social media went crazy and clipping went viral in no time.

Rohit Sharma scored 65 off just 40 deliveries including six fours and three maximums in the match. Then the Super Over madness followed. In due course, he went on to complete 10,000 international runs as an opener and also recorded his second best T20I half-century (50 off 23 balls). There was a lot of reasons for India skipper to go gaga over his star player. Virat Kohli did not just praise Rohit Sharma in the presentation ceremony, he continued to utter good words for the hero of the day in the post-match press conference.

“But Rohit was outstanding today, in the first half and in the super over. We knew, if he gets one hit, the bowler will be under pressure because he is such a clean striker of the cricket ball. Overall a top day for us and a beautiful game to be a part of.”
