Ilias Atwani has been working as a mining industry professional for several years now. Over the years, he has worked for a number of industry leaders in a variety of roles such as an intern, a mining junior engineer, a mining engineer, and an underground mines supervisor.
Typically, a professional handling the position of a Mining Engineer is required to perform featured tasks such as:
• Planning the production activities for a team of 10 to 15 miners on a daily basis
• Creating a synergy between mine production and mine construction activities to reduce operating costs
• Ensuring employees’ safety and compliance with current Provincial & Federal regulations as well as corporate policies
• Holding accountability for realization of production goals, and optimal utilization of fleet & workforce
As for his educational background is concerned, Ilias Atwani has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Laval University and is currently enrolled in an e-MBA program.

Ilias Atwani is an experienced Mining Engineer working with a senior Canadian gold mining company as a Mine Operations Coordinator (Mine Operations Dept.). He is skilled in Mining Oriented Operational Analysis/Modeling: Surpac®, Whittle®, Talpac®; Programming: Matlab®, C/C++, VB; Management and Logistics: SAP®, JD Edwards®; and CAD Software like AutoCAD® (Amine & Promine), SolidWorks®, Silverscreen® (CAMP), 3DReshaper®. He is an alumnus of Laval University from where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering in July 2012. He also attended Institut Polytechnique privé de Casablanca from Sept 2006 to Dec 2008 for his preparatory classes for engineering school. Currently, Atwani is pursuing his Executive Master of Business Administration (E-M.B.A) degree from Laval University.
