Since 2012, she has been serving in DynCorp International. She worked as a buyer at DynCorp International at Melbourne from 2012-2015. Here, prepared and solicited the quotes to the selected brokers. She also provided OEM or FAA approved repair facilities for aircraft and non-aircraft new and repair parts. While working in Kabul, she prepared and solicited the quotes to the local suppliers for the materials and services. She reviewed the items for orders and for the possibility of procuring more locally.

Thereafter in 2015, Heather McSparron started working in Kabul at DynCorp International. Here, she prepared and solicited quotes to local suppliers for materials and services. She also reviewed the items for order, for possibility of procuring more locally. Besides, she provided on-site requestors with status of items, possible delivery schedules for reoccurring items for order, offered AWIS navigation training for requestors to view status of their orders.

From 2017 until 2018, Heather worked as a buyer in Baghdad. Here, she continued her duties as the previous ones. She prepared and solicited quotes to selected Brokers, OEM or FAA approved repair facilities for aircraft and non-aircraft new and repair parts, purchase items or services required for site or personnel operations. Moreover, she reviewed items for local purchase, researched local suppliers for proper vetting, and added additional local suppliers as needed.

Being a drug demand reduction officer, Heather McSparron is well aware of the substance use disorders as well as the evidence based drug demand reduction interventions.
