With great knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to drug control and prevention, Heather McSparron served as Drug Demand Reduction Administrator. She is highly aware of the wide range of aspects of preventing and treating drug abuse. Besides, she comes up with great persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges.
From 18-20 January 2008, all cadets and senior members in Florida Wing joined their hands together to participate in Special Activities Selection Board at Patrick Air Force Base. Along with the assistance of Heather McSparron, this event comprised of many areas of competition, right from boards to athletic challenges and academic evaluation. All through her hard work and dedication, Heather received various awards and accomplishments. She was awarded with Circle of Excellence Award for the Cadet Programs and Grover Loening Aerospace Award.
Building strong and trusting relationships with the suppliers, Heather has been serving as a buyer for government contracting companies at different locations. Possessing a great understanding of the procurement regulations, she is highly skilled to gain solid background as a buyer.
From 2012-2015, Heather has been working as a buyer at DynCorp International at Melbourne. Here, she prepared and solicited quotes to the selected brokers. Besides, she provided OEM or FAA approved repair facilities for aircraft and non-aircraft new and repair parts. While working in Kabul, she prepared and solicited the quotes to the local suppliers for the materials and services.
While making the purchase of various goods or services, it is required to have some cost analysis, which includes the verification of pricing. Heather McSparron created new price analysis template for the procurement department in order to utilize in current purchase orders. The analysis included negotiations, savings, weighted average and history for each of use.
