Highly involved in attending various meetings and activities in Central Florida, Heather McSparron served in the Civil Air Patrol as a Drug Demand Reduction Administrator. She has always been well versed with wing planning and execution of drug demand reduction program. She just ensured that the drug demand strategy was being taught at all the wing encampments. She focused on providing positive activities as an alternative to drugs and gang violence. She considered it her sole responsibility to coordinate and implement drug prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programme activities.
From 18-20 January 2008, all cadets and senior members in Florida Wing joined their hands together to participate in Special Activities Selection Board at Patrick Air Force Base. With the assistance of Heather McSparron, this event comprised of many areas of competition, right from boards to athletic challenges and academic evaluation.
Regarding her professional experience as a buyer, Heather McSparron started her career at DRS-RSTA in 2007 in Melbourne. It was her sole responsibility to make sure that the selected purchase orders are highly compliant as per the CPRS guidelines. Adding to her achievements, she consolidated Bin Stock Program from three buildings to one building while preventing the manufacturing line from work stoppage. She also supported Oracle team to make certain buyer requested reports updated giving accurate data.
Formerly serving as a proposal specialist at a local government contracting company DRS in 2007, Heather McSparron developed the skills to create Request for Quotes (RFQ), analyze the proposals, read the technical drawings, and understand the technical evaluations. She also learned how to make effective interactions between external customers, internal customers and suppliers.
Pertaining to her education credentials, Heather McSparron is currently studying at Purdue University Global where she is pursuing Bachelors in Business Management. She also attended Everest University for 2 years while working and transferred the credits to Purdue. Thereafter, she started her online courses in Iraq.
