[Ogden, 11/2/2016] – Trusted financial service provider, Wasatch Peaks Credit Union, started their Kids Club program to teach children the importance of saving up money for the future. The program offers children regular rewards and privileges for making financially sound decisions with their new accounts.
Save, Share, and Spend
Wasatch Peaks Credit Union gives children the opportunity to start saving at a young age when they sign up for a MONEY MOO$E™ Kids Club account. The program aims to teach them how to save, share, and spend wisely, as the account gives them access to a Peaks Passbook™ and a membership card.
Every month, Wasatch Peaks Credit Union displays new prizes that children can collect. Every time they make a deposit into their account, a teller will put a stamp on their passbook and the account holder may claim a display prize every month. For all the other deposits made during the month, the children get a prize from a Treasure Box.
Kasasa® Tunes Checking Account
Opening a savings account with Wasatch Peaks Credit Union only takes a minimum of $25.
Young members may also sign up for a Kasasa® Tunes Checking Account where they can earn $20 in iTunes or Amazon downloads upon signing up. With no monthly service fee or minimum balance to earn rewards, the account allows unlimited check writing and online banking.
Those eligible to open these accounts are citizens of the Weber, Davis, and Morgan Counties. Children under 18 must have an eligible adult acting as a joint account holder.
