Las Vegas, 27th Sept 2013 - The CERT (Community Emergency Response team program was first started by the Los Angeles Fire Department in 1990, during the disaster. Doomsday preppers can also join here at CERT through their local government, to learn the emergency response skills. Recently all the big communities have started joining CERT programs through their local fire departments as well as through their police departments.

The prepper training is imparted periodically annually very often by the communities. Such training is freely offered to the general public. It is very essential that the preppers should register themselves here in advance to take part in the entire training course. The entire training course duration is approximately about 7 weeks. They all have to meet once a week at night for about 2.5 hours.

The training course comprises of the following: -

- Emergency preparation:- trainees are made aware of the fact that could create problems in future. They are shown how to take necessary action during the disaster. Besides this the preppers are in addition given over view of cert philosophy and the main objectives about it.

- Emergency search and rescue procedure :- every individual is trained about the logistical information and procedure

- Emergency fire containment:- they are trained about the fire safety and how to extinguish it.

- Medical emergency procedure:- how to give first aid during the emergency.

- Emergency psychology and team makeup:- How to organize and manage CERT operation and other administrative procedures, including the after effect to the disaster affected people. How to handle them.

- Final over view and disaster simulation:- they have to give the evaluation on the seven days training program.

After the completion of training the preppers will be allowed to join the program and get chance to work with the professionals during the time of disaster.
