Guy Allan Davis has an enviable track-record as a professional in the food industry.

 


Guy Allan Davis was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is a graduate of Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, where he studied from 1987 to 1990. He advanced to Jon Jacob School of Technology, Germany, in 1990, and graduated in 1994. Furthermore, in 2007, he was awarded a diploma in culinary excellence, designating him a certified master chef after successfully completing his program of study in fine gastronomy and culinary administration.

His apprenticeships in different parts of Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and France) and North America gave him the opportunity to accrue enormous knowledge on different sort of cuisines and preparation methods. Guy Allan Davis became proficient at estimating and running a profitable food and labor cost and was able to develop a method of making artisan bread and venissories that remain fresh throughout the day, thereby minimizing loss, reducing wage cost and increasing profit margins. He developed gluten free baked goods and desserts that have the same taste of conventional desserts; and he was able to come up with a method of reducing sodium in bread and baked goods by 23% without losing the flavor of the product.

Furthermore, he has an enviable track record as a professional in the food industry. He has worked in several companies, including Pengrowth Convention Centre; as a pastry chef and artisan bread baker, where he developed a line of signature desserts, cakes and artisan breads, and reduced costs on chocolate by 13% by using a higher grade chocolate. He worked at Capri Hotel Trade and Convention Center from 2005 to 2009, where he oversaw a Pastry and Bakery Department, and increased sales by 25%. He also worked as a Product Development Specialist at the National Research Council, from January 2010 to August 2013. Furthermore, he worked at Luv’s Foods from September 2014 to December 2015, as an artisan bread baker and chocolatier.

In addition, he is a lover of sports, and he is very good at skiing and bike riding. He places high value on family time, and he always ensure that he set time from his busy schedule to relate with his friends and family.
