The fiber optic splice box should allow for the full assembly of the largest number of core fiber optic cables in the office. Greentelftth DOME Fiber Closure has four basic functions as a fiber optic cable termination device.

Fixed function: After the optical cable enters the rack, the outer sheath and the reinforcing core must be mechanically fixed. The grounding protection component must be added for end protection to protect the optical fiber.

Capacitor connection function: After the optical fiber pulled out from the optical cable is soldered to the tail cable, the excess optical fiber is coiled and stored to protect the welding.

Deployment feature: Connect the connector on the tail cable to the adapter and the fiber connector on the other side of the adapter. Adapters and connectors should be flexible to insert and pull out; the optical path can be freely deployed and tested.

Storage function: Provides storage for various cross-connect cables between racks so that they can be placed neatly and regularly. Appropriate spaces and modes should be provided in the fiber optic splice enclosure to make this part of the cable clear and easy to adjust and meet the minimum bend radius requirements.

With the development of fiber optic networks, the existing functions of fiber optic splice boxes have been unable to meet many new requirements. Some manufacturers add some optical network components (such as optical splitters, wavelength division multiplexers, and optical switches) directly to the fiber splice enclosure. Thus, even if these components are suitable for the network, they add to the functionality and flexibility of the fiber splice closure. The use of more Inline Closure modes is also a way to distinguish between fiber optic splice closures. The fiber connector box is mainly divided into: 6-port, 8-port fiber connector box, 12-core fiber connector box, 24-port fiber connector box, and 48-port fiber connector box.
