Gloria Sue Sutton announces that she has worked with the Houston Junior Woman’s Club for 26 years.

Gloria Sue Sutton, who has worked for many years in Houston, is pleased to be celebrating 26 years serving as a member of the Houston Junior Woman’s Club. Gloria Sue Sutton works alongside women who believe in three core values: friendship, faith, and service. In Gloria Sue Sutton’s eyes, all three of these values are what bring her to put her heart into her community service.

Throughout her years at the Houston Junior Woman’s Club, this seasoned volunteer has held a number of different positions, starting as a member in 1987. In 1999, Gloria Sue Sutton was elected as the fundraising chairman, and then in 2000 she served as the president of the Houston Junior Woman’s Club.

“I love working with such a remarkable group of women,” comments Gloria Sue Sutton. “The Houston Junior Woman’s Club was how I got started volunteering in the Houston area.”

While Gloria Sue Sutton started her work in community service with the Houston Junior Woman’s Club, she has branched out since then to work as a volunteer with a number of other organizations.

In the past, Gloria Sue Sutton volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Texas Children’s Hospital after starting to work with the Houston Junior Woman’s Club. Since then, Gloria Sue Sutton has gone on to show support for other organizations in a variety of ways, such as The Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

According to Gloria Sue Sutton, what she really loves about all these organizations is that they really focus on the well being of children. For Gloria Sue Sutton, children’s issues are at the center of her volunteer work. It is for this reason that her involvement with the Houston Junior Woman’s Club really took off.

“We work with organizations that hold children’s health at their hearts,” says Gloria Sue Sutton. “The Texas Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House both work hard to help young people, as well as their families, in times of their most dire need. We support this work because we believe that young people are the future.”
