Im Praxiseinsatz offenbaren sich aber schnell Nachteile: Die Kamera kennt nur einen Blickwinkel, und der passt nicht immer. Sie richtet sich bei größeren Nutzern eher auf die Brust als auf den Kopf, von der Stirn fehlte im Test auf dem Videobild ein Stück. Während man bei anderen Notebooks in solchen Fällen einfach das Display etwas verstellt, um den Kamerawinkel anzupassen, muss man sich beim Matebook X Pro selbst umständlich anders hinsetzen, sich etwas bücken oder die Tastatur etwas ankippen, und das ist ergonomisch höchst unpraktisch. Außerdem blickt man deutlich über die Kamera hinweg, was bei Videoanrufen unpersönlich wirkt.
