Gerald Monter continues to provide leadership for his company even though far along enough in years to enjoy a quiet and peaceful retirement. He created his company, The Holiday Organization, in 1951, and has been directing the company since its founding. As a real estate developer, Gerald Monter takes pride in each new project his company embarks on. He created they company in 1951 to develop real estate properties. It was originally called Holiday Park Inc, but the name changed when the company expanded to also building apartments, office buildings, and shopping centers.

"The Holiday Organization built thousands of homes between 1951 and 1979 under other corporate names. Even now, The Holiday Organization is responsible for building over 8,000 homes and apartments in New York, Florida, and Pennsylvania," says Gerald Monter. During these years, Gerald Monter built, primarily, individual family homes and apartment buildings.

During 1979 to 2005, Gerald Monter approved and developed projects in Florida and New York. Building projects included homes and condominiums in communities such as North Miami Beach and Palm Beach County in Florida, and Commack, New York. "We primarily stick to residential development projects, but we have built office buildings for lease and sale," states Gerald Monter.

Currently, Gerald Monter's company is working on three large projects. Begun in the early part of March 2013, The Holiday Organization started construction of a 53-unit subdivision in Lake Worth, Florida. For the moment, this is his only project occurring in Florida.

Gerald Monter currently has two active projects in New York: Country Woods at Colony Preserve and Manors at Colony Preserve in Shirley, New York and the Hamlet Estates and Country Woods at St. James in St. James, New York. "Country Woods will be 75 single family homes and in St. James, a total of 127 homes in a gated community," explains Gerald Monter.

"Right now we are processing a new project on Long Island. The project is Wind Watch Tower in Hauppauge, New York. The project is the development of 150 condominium units adjacent to the Hamlet Windwatch Golf & Country Club," states Gerald Monter; "Zoning was approved by the Town of Islip in 2005."
