If you are new to smoking electronic cigarettes, it is most likely that you will be offered to purchase an electronic cigarette starter kit. These kits typically contain a battery/ies, cartomizers or atomizers, charging accessories, and enough electronic cigarette liquid so you can do your e-smoking for a week or 2, at least.

When you shop for an e-cig kit, you have many aspects to look at. Prices may range from $15 up to $350, even though there is very little variation in the products included in the kit. Electronic cigarettes come in many different models and brands, and the majority of these are made in China and then shipped around the world and distributed to vendors for resale. So the difference lies in the elements of design, the accessories included, and the profit that vendors are trying to earn.

The following is a list of the things that an electronic cigarette kit should contain, for your money.

1. Battery/ies
If your starter kit costs under $40, at least 1 rechargeable battery should be included. If the price is over $40, you should get a great selection of accessories, or 2 rechargeable batteries. Always remember that if the battery is small, you’ll get less puffs from it before it comes to the time to be recharged.

2. USB Charger
This should be included in the starter kit that you will purchase. This will enable you to recharge your battery from the USB port of your computer. USB charger may be the only charging accessory that an electronic cigarette starter kit can have. This is a small item and e-cig batteries are made to accept USB power.

3. Cartomizers
The e-cig kits that you can find today, or most of them, include cartomizers. These are refill cartridges that contain electronic cigarette liquid and the heating coil that vaporizes it. You can throw the cartomizer away when the liquid becomes exhausted, and use a new one. This way you can get the same production level of vapor each time you e-smoke.

4. There are electronic cigarette starter kit sellers who say that their electronic cigarette liquid refill is equal to 2 cigarette packs. You can agree to this if what you smoke are ultra lights, for moderate smokers, one cartomizer is equivalent to just less than one pack of cigarettes. Most kits include 5 cartomizers, so it might be likely that for your first week, you might need to place an order for more.

5. Warranty
A warranty may not be important to some smokers, but actually, it is one of the most essential things that a starter kit can contain. People will buy a brand that offers a longer warranty period, rather than from another which has only a few months warranty.

Some optional items that can be included in the e-cig starter kit are wall and car chargers, USB pass-through, carrying case, and charging case. With the USB pass-through, you can continue using your electronic cigarette even if you have dead batteries. The carrying case is for your battery on the go; to protect it from scratches when it gets rubbed with some items like keys in your pocket or purse.
