If you're on a tight budget and in need of some R&R in New Zealand, a day at the hot springs (which won't set you back more than ten New Zealand dollars) may be just what the doctor ordered.

The museum is well situated in the middle of Taupo, making it a must-see for tourists. Exhibits include information on the city's volcanic history, the Maori people, and European colonisation of the area. Exhibitions of local artists' work are often on display in this edifice, which was styled like a traditional Maori meeting hall. The Ora Garden, winner of the Chelsea Flower Show's top award in 2004, is open to the public.

Even though the hot spring is available for business, not many people go there. It's to be expected given the spring's positioning. This errand is expected to need an additional 40 kilometres of travel outside of the municipal limits. The original name of this location was Butcher's Pool, so called because of the proximity of a butcher shop. The pool got its name since it's located close to both hot and cold mineral springs. I really, deeply, and desperately hope that things work out for you. Not only is it free to use, but it also has no further costs attached to it.
