Toronto, Ontario (Aug 11, 2015) - Bad Axe Throwing, an urban axe throwing club, has announced their plans to take axe throwing global. Bad Axe Throwing has planned to open ten more locations in the next twelve months, with the goal of tripling in size. To aid in global awareness of their business, Bad Axe Throwing has also launched a Kickstarter campaign.

Since opening their first location in Burlington, Ontario less than a year ago, Bad Axe Throwing has quickly expanded to four locations. They are currently in the process of opening two more locations across Canada and are averaging one new location every two months.

Bad Axe Throwing CEO, Joel Melnichuk explains “Our Kickstarter campaign is going to allow us to market the sport of urban axe throwing on an international stage. Regardless of whether or not we hit our goal on Kickstarter, our plans will remain unchanged: ten new locations in the next year.”

To aid in their growth efforts, Bad Axe Throwing has brought on a Chief Operating Officer and several operational managers to help scale their business. “The challenge with such rapid growth is that at the center of it all, we have to maintain the same culture & beliefs across all of our locations. We want healthy growth. Reputation and culture is what we want to maintain as we continue to grow.” said Kallen Saczkowski, COO of Bad Axe Throwing.

Bad Axe Throwing is planning to open over 50 locations in the next three years. Melnichuk adds, “Our first year was just working out the kinks to scaling our business. We’re at the point now where we’re ready to start opening up a new location every month and we have all the right people in our company to make that happen.”
