FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chantilly, Virginia (September 08, 2016) – On a former White House staffer and Air Force veteran launched a new social network focused on safeguarding and sharing life stories of lost loved ones and ancestors.

StoryBrancher launched its crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo shortly after midnight on August 29, 2016. StoryBrancher’s funding goal is $10,000, which will help fund a user friendly page publishing tool and expand site performance for faster loading and processing. The campaign's premier perk lists at $52 and provides backers with a lifetime membership to the site in addition to research assistance for help creating pages.

"I've always had the desire to share stories of my grandfather with others and honor his memory ever since losing him to lung cancer in 2004. It took nearly ten years before I had a fully formed idea and rudimentary site. And then a few more years after that before I reached the point where it's ready for wide release," said StoryBrancher founder Jeremy Cantrell. "I've done everything I can do by myself. It's now time to ask others to help by both contributing to my crowdfunding campaign and also becoming active members helping to build our library of memories," Jeremy added.

Jeremy was inspired to create the website by a conversation he had with his grandfather, Frank Cantrell, in late 2004 shortly before he passed away from lung cancer. The site is dedicated to Frank Cantrell's memory. More information about him can be found on the following StoryBrancher page: https://www.storybrancher.com/index.php?title=Frank_Cantrell.

StoryBrancher.com is a social media website that enables members to create, edit, and comment on pages about people, places, and things. While other services such as Wikipedia allow pages to be created only for “notable” people and events, StoryBrancher empowers members by allowing them to create pages for people they care about.

Jeremy Cantrell, StoryBrancher's founder, served as a nuclear weapons launch officer at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, where he provided command and control for nuclear-armed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles.
