If employed payslips for the past three months.

If self-employed proof of ownership or proprietorship.

Personal bank statement for the past three months.

Income tax return form or form 17.

Proof of civil status.

2 passport size photos not older than 6 months and according to biometric specifications.

The Schengen travel visa can be applied for two reasons:

A Schengen tourist visa for a leisure trip visiting without any sponsorship and not planning to visit any friends and family.

Schengen visitor visa where one is visiting a friend or relative up on their invitation.

The later requires some more additional documents about the resident of the Schengen country offering invitation to sponsor the applicant for the stay.
