In December of 1989, director of Midwest Fertility Center Amos E. Madanes, M.D., became the first in America to achieve pregnancy through non-surgical intra-tubal insemination.

Widely considered a leading innovator in endocrinology, one of Midwest Fertility Center’s Dr. Madanes' lifetime achievements came in December of 1989. He was the doctor who was at the helm as a pregnancy was achieved through non-surgical intra-tubal insemination. It would be the first successful attempt with the technique in the United States. This is ultimately what solidified the Midwest Fertility Center director as the pioneer that he is known to be today.

The very high success rate of Dr. Madanes and his team of professionals at Midwest Fertility Center in Chicago is renowned around the world. Since his success with the non-surgical intra-tubal technique in 1989, he has pioneered a number of procedures, all of which are performed by him and his staff at the Midwest Fertility Center locations in Illinois and Indiana. “My passion for the family unit and its value to society is what motivates me to do what I do,” says Dr. Madanes. These procedures are collectively called in vitro fertilization, requiring a level of skill and state-of-the-art technology achieved by those at Midwest Fertility Center.

“The greatest personal reward of my findings in 1989 is the restoration of hope to the individuals that once thought they would never be able to have a family,” continues Dr. Madanes. “Myself and those I oversee believe it is our responsibility to create opportunities for infertile singles and couples to have a chance to have a family,” states Dr. Madanes.

Dr. Amos E. Madanes and the group of experts he oversees at Midwest Fertility Center plan to build on the legacy he has built. This means providing a variety of options to those who need attention. The in vitro fertilization procedures offered at Midwest Fertility Center now include gamete intra fallopian transfer, intra cytoplasmic sperm injection, assisted hatching, and others.

The team at Midwest Fertility Center plans to extend Madanes' legacy through being knowledgeable about technology. Through staying on top of the latest technology, Midwest Fertility Center will provide the greatest chance of success to their patients.
