Tyrone Cox better known by his stage name of T-Ski Valley a once very popular rapper of the early 80's best known for working with Cool Herc in a group called the Fly Force Emcees has sold substantial interest in his recording label Grand Groove Records (NY). At one time Grand Groove Records was a Bronx rap sublabel of Brad Osborne’s Clock Tower Records, a legendary reggae label. Grand Groove was started by Osbourne with T-Ski Valley, and both labels were based out of Brad's Record Den, which was located at 3756 White Plains Road, Bronx NY. Osbourne was killed in April 1983.

Also known for their "Dee Jay Limited Edition"-series with multi-artist 12"s and Eighties remixes of disco classics. T-Ski's big rise to fame came from his very popular song, "Catch The Beat".After years of perfecting his craft as a DJ, MC, and Producer, T-Ski Valley's first recorded record was "Catch The Beat." Released in the fall of 1981, this track has never left the dancefloor. "Catch The Beat" is still being sampling by artists for his innovative, unique rap sound. Performed with legends like Kool Moe Dee, Run DMC, Kurtis Blow, Grand Wizard Theodore, Grand Master Flash, and a host of others."Catch the Beat" has gone on to be featured in many soundtracks, including the movie "Fresh," staring Samuel L. Jackson, The Martin Lawrence Show, All My Children, and a many more. People like De La Soul, Will.i.Am, Grand Master Flash, and Jennifer Lopez have all used this album as a source for inspiration.
Mr. Cox sighted that the vision and youthfulness that is coming on from now co-owner, Eddie Thomas of Final Melody Music (NY) is exciting. "Eddie brings a wealth of marketing and innovative business experience with him", T-Ski added. "I'm proud to be a part of the new direction that I anticipate Final Melody Music will navigate things", said T Ski, he additionally stated that, "The profit I made on my 30 plus year monetary and time investment has paid off in a way that's very satisfying". The value of the ownership sold by T-Ski was undisclosed as were the final ownership percentages he released.
