Now the capital of Quang Binh province, Dong Hoi has risen from the ashes and is now the gateway to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed park, 50 kilometres northwest of the city, is home to the world’s most spectacular caves. There’s no reason not to stay closer to the caves in pastoral Phong Nha town. But Dong Hoi is larger, has better value accommodation and it’s well-connected. The city is a major train stop on the North-South railway, it’s on arterial Highway 1A and it has an airport. So if you’re short on time, Phong Nha Cave, Paradise Cave and the Dark Cave are an easy day trip from Dong Hoi. All hotels and hostels here offer some sort of transport or tour.

Tour itinerary

Day 1: Ha Noi – Dong Hoi N/A

PM : 19h00 take night – bus (or night train) to Dong Hoi province. Overnight on the bus (train).

Day 2: Phong Nha – Nhat Le Beach (Breakfast)

6.00 am: Arrive Dong Hoi , transfer to hotel & check in upon arrive.
8.00 AM – 8.30 AM: Pickup & Transportation
The car and the guide will pick you up at the hotel/ train station/ airport…at Dong Hoi city (or Phong Nha town about 9.00 – 9.30 am)
70km from Dong Hoi to Paradise cave
Move on the Ho Chi Minh Trail and know more about Vietnam History
10.00 AM – 11.30 AM: Walk and Enjoy Paradise cave
Before getting inside the cave, visitors have to :
Use a buggy to finish 1,6 km
Walk up 570 metres
Relax on resting site

Visit Paradise cave – a very wonderful cave located inside the core zone of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. It was considered as the longest dry cave in Asia with total length of 31,4 km researched by British Cave Research Association. The magnificent stalactites and stalagmites appear amazingly when you visit 1 km inside the cave..

12.00 PM: Time for Lunch
Return to the restaurant about 5km
Have lunch with Local food
Take a rest
1h30 PM: Visit Nuoc Mooc spring
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the spring
Kayaking and some interesting water games.

The cool spring water with the temperature about 18 – 20 degrees C named Mooc spring. It is surrounded by majestic mountains. It are suitable for new experiences, especially during the hot summer days. Suoi Nuoc Mooc is about 3 km from the Paradise cave,where tourists shouldn’t miss.
4h00 PM: Return 60 km from Phong Nha to Dong Hoi

Take a rest

Afternoon : Free time for swimming at Nhat Le beach.
17.00 back to hotel. Dinner and free visiting romantic Nhat Le river at night. Overnight at hotel in Dong Hoi town.

Day 3: Dong Hoi - Ha Noi Departure (Breakfast)
Have breakfast at hotel.
Full day free time. You can enjoy at the Nhat Le beach.
12h00 return to Hanoi by day train. 9.00 pm arrive Hanoi. End tour.

a. Cancellations must be advised by email / fax
b. The cancellation fees will apply:

• Cancelation 30 days prior to arrival date: USD 50 per person will be charged.
• Cancelation from 20 days to 30 days prior to arrival date: 30% of total invoice amount will be charged
• Cancelation from 10 days to 20 days prior to arrival date: 50% of total invoice amount will be charged
• Cancelation less than 10 days prior to arrival date or no-show: 100% of total invoice invoice amount will be charged
Refund Policy
If tour participants buy additional services which are not included in their program, the service fee will be charged on spot.

If tours participants cancel some services and / or portion of the tour program at their will during the trip, reimbursements shall not be made for these unused services and /or portions .

If in the course of the trip, an illness or mishap befalls a tour participant that entails extra services and or medical attention arranged by company, all the related additional costs shall be defrayed by the participant himself or herself on the spot.

Confirmation Policy

All of our services are to be booked with Explore Real Asia (in short ERA) in Hanoi.
A deposit of at least 30% of the tour price per person is required upon a confirmation of your booking.
After we received your deposit or full payment, we will issue our service voucher and send to you by e-mail or fax together with our invoice or receipt of your payment.
