James R. Zingelman to perform at the 2nd Annual Mental Health Art Benefit & Comedy Show

February 1, 2017

Empowered Partnerships, a Mental & Behavioral Health Recruiting Outsourcing & Consulting Firm, is hosting the 2nd annual Mental Health Art Benefit at Regis University on March 11, 2017. 100% of proceeds from the event will go to Mental Health Colorado.

James R. Zingelman, also known as Hynotic Comic Rusty Z, is a Colorado based comedian and will be performing at the event. James has been in show business since he quit his “regular job” a few decades ago.

Before show biz James worked in the printing and publishing industry, spending most of his time in the customer service/sales end of the business.
While still at his printing job, James started a rock and roll band and played the drums. The band, The Borrowed Times, went on to be named “Denver’s Best Dance Band” by Westword, Denver’s local arts and entertainment newspaper.
While working full time and drumming part time, James decided to pursue a career in comedy (he had written a paper in the 3rd grade proclaiming that he wanted to be a comedian, “like Alan King”, when he grew up). After a few years traveling around the country as a club stand-up, James became a full-time instructor at Comedy Defensive Driving in Dallas, TX.
James then moved to Albuquerque, NM and decided to add hypnosis to his comedy act. He studied with some of the best teachers in the hypnosis and hypnotherapy field and, the rest is history. Since he was already well-known in the comedy circles by his real name, James adopted the stage name “Rusty Z, The Hypnotic Comic.”
James is back in Denver and now specializes in comedy hypnosis shows for companies, associations and other groups. He also produces and performs his show and writes custom comedy material tailored to the client and audience. James also has a part-time hypnotherapy business and is constantly adding new titles to his recorded hypnosis product line. In addition to appearing at Sushi Hai on February 16th and at Comedy Works in Denver (as hypnotist Rusty Z) on February 27, you can see James at MHAB2017 on March 11th.
Having personal experience with therapy throughout his life, he is excited to participate in this unique way to give back to Mental Health Colorado.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.mhab2017.com and Empowered Partnerships is currently accepting donations for the silent auction, in addition to corporate sponsorships. Donation and sponsorship intentions can be emailed to [email protected].
