COACH MENTORING
Programme Overview
The mentoring is geared to support you to develop your coaching skills based on the 11 core competencies of the ICF, build on your strengths as a coach, increase your coaching confidence as well as support you to find your own unique style of coaching.
This 10-hour programme prepares you for the coach knowledge assessment (CKA) to gain your ACC level qualification with the ICF, as well as create a successful recording to submit to the ICF for review and feedback.
And we are pleased to report we've had a 100 per cent pass rate for everyone who has attended our programme.
Pre-requisites:
To join the Empower World coach mentoring programme, you must meet the following requirements:
• Completion of a minimum 60 hours ICF-approved Coach Training Programme from either Empower World or another ICF-approved company.
• Be working with a minimum of three clients who are not a coach.

Your mentor coaches throughout the programme are Empower World co-founders and ICF mentor coaches Jeanine Bailey PCC and Marie Quigley MCC.
The benefits
In this intensive and highly-interactive programme, you will be supported to:
• Increase confidence in using the coaching competencies
• Identify your own ‘blind spots’ in coaching
• Learn to ask more powerful questions, and listen at a deeper, intuitive level
• Build a trusting partnership with the client
• Prepare for application to the International Coach Federation ACC qualification.
Mentoring Group Session Topics:
During the first four sessions (2 hours each), the focus is on the 11 core coaching competencies as defined by the ICF. By the end of these sessions you will have a thorough understanding of each of these core competencies, and how to apply them to your coaching practice
Session 1 (2 hours)
Setting the Foundation
1. Meeting Ethical Guidelines and Professional Standards
2. Establishing the Coaching Agreement
Session 2 (2 hours)
Co-creating the Relationship
3. Establishing Trust and Intimacy with the Client
4. Coaching Presence
Session 3 (2 hours)
Communicating Effectively
5. Active Listening
6. Powerful Questioning
7. Direct Communication
Session 4 (2 hours)
Facilitating Learning and Results
8. Creating Awareness
9. Designing Actions
10. Planning and Goal Setting
11. Managing Progress and Accountability
Sessions 5 and 6 (1 hour each)
2 x 1-hour meetings with each of the coach mentors. During these one-to-one meetings, specific and tailored feedback will be provided to the participant based on a recorded coaching session that is submitted in advance to the mentor. This will take place online at an agreed time between the parties (mentor and mentee)
