The company was founded in 1994 by Finnish entrepreneur Olli Muurainen at the age of 23. With a background in organizing lively techno raves on the outskirts of Helsinki, Muurainen had the vision of bringing the same level of energy and excitement to business events.

In response to the changing business landscape, 2020 marked a shift to virtual events. The virtual events were so well-received that they have since become a permanent feature in Management Events' dynamic event offerings.

In 2021, the company introduced the Executive Business Network Aurora Live, providing a platform for top business leaders to connect and share ideas, challenges, and experiences at both in-person and virtual events throughout the year.
