About Our Company

Africa Direct is an African art seller started by Elizabeth Bennett and Sara Luther, who share a passion for African art, trade beads, and beautiful ethnic jewelry, among other items from Africa. The company was started after found that it was impossible to keep all of the amazing artwork and craft pieces that they located while traveling around Africa. Today, Africa Direct has more than 20,000 items available, and sources goods from over 100 traders in Africa. We care about supporting living artists, and therefore purchase our goods largely from co-ops across the continent, including in: South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, Swaziland and other places.
