As a music lover or even a music enthusiast who owns any musical instrument or equipment, taking care of it is a must. You need to make sure that you maintain your guitar, keyboard, drum set, if you’re a DJ then your entire sets, very well. If you’ve bought them yourself, then you know these things do not come cheap. Also, there’s this inexplicable attachment that we form with our instruments; you have to love them like your child. Here are some essential tips on taking care of your loves.

1. Cleaning them regularly

After every few uses, it is essential to clean them. Just imagine your Xdj Rr jamming in the middle of a gig as a result of accumulated dirt and debris. It would suck, right? Ensure you get a guide on how to clean your instruments, preferably from where you bought it from. In this case, you’d want to get guidance from maybe Pioneer Dj, or anyone you believe knows a lot about the particular instrument or equipment in question.

2. Locking them in their casing

A lot of instruments come with their casing, or what I like referring to as their ‘housing’. Always ensure that once you are done with for it, you put it back. Many people tend to display their instruments like a piece of art. You’ll find them hanging their Fender FA-125CE in the living room such that any curious mind can tamper with them however they like. Someone who doesn’t know how to work your instrument and the delicateness it needs may end up ruining it.

3. Keep the temperature in check.

Many may not know this, but musical instruments are affected by changes in room temperature. The general principle is to keep it in a dry place. Imagine placing your Yamaha p45 or Roland Piano Digital keyboard where it is prone to humidity or even water; this will completely mess up its entire functioning.

I’ll leave you with a tip. Sometimes, musical instruments appreciate. Therefore, taking good care of it right now may materialize into an investment in the future.
