FIVE drivers transporting ladies to the Reed Dance at the eNyokeni Royal Palace were captured for smashed driving.

The Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) was directing law implementation operations on every one of the streets paving the way to the reed move, when the drivers were captured. Amid stop and checks, 89 transports and 301 taxicabs were examined, 118 charges were issued for different transgressions, including speed, inability to utilize safety belts and careless driving.

Transport MEC Willies Mchunu reported that more than 650 activity officers had been sent for the reed move law implementation operation at the end of the week.
