London, United Kingdom (15th May, 2012) – Winkworth, the largest single branded estate agency in London, announces that a member of their team is embarking on an epic cycle ride in aid of the Sarah Greene Breakthrough Tribute Fund, an organisation which has proven instrumental in funding key breast cancer treatment research.

Chris Roupell, of Winkworth South Kensington Estate Agents, will undertake the ride from Bruges to Spa, Belgium, from the 7th to the 9th of June. This will be the third cycle ride of this length he has taken part in to support the organisation, and will cover approximately 250 miles. The emphasis is on fun, adventure and personal achievement whilst raising as much money as possible.

Sarah’s family and friends formed the fund after she lost her two year battle with triple negative breast cancer in December, 2006, aged 44. Its aim is to aid research into beating this aggressive and rare form of cancer, and have so far raised more than £1m since they began their campaign in 2007. The fund has played a key role in opening a new research unit at King’s College London, which enables scientists to perform tailored experiments into treating triple negative breast cancer and basal-like breast cancer, which is a related form. They hope this new cycle ride will help them pass the £1.5m mark.
