High Springs, Florida – September 10, 2015 – Camping is a wonderful way to spend vacation time with your family. Turn off the TV; put away the video games and live life like it was meant to be lived – outdoors.

You get to choose whether you want to have electricity on your camping site or to simply enjoy a wilderness site that has no power. Once you are all set up, it’s time to go canoeing, swimming, picnicking, kayaking, scuba diving, and river tubing. You can also enjoy games such as volleyball once you are done playing in the water.

This camping ground is in High Springs, on the Santa Fe River. The springs are very clear and the water temperature remains at a delightful 72 degrees, making it just the right temperature for water activities. The clear water allows for activities that include underwater cave diving. You get to enjoy the colorful fish and see a Florida aquifer in action as it spews out fresh water in millions of gallons.

One of the best things about this particular location is that it does not have one but seven different natural springs. This gives the scuba diving instructors wonderful locations to carry out their training. There are independent instructors who will be happy to take you cavern, advanced, cave, and open water diving at your convenience.

When it comes to tubing down the river or scuba diving, you are welcome to bring your own equipment or tube. However, if you don’t have any, you can always rent what you need. On a hot afternoon, spend time with your family or friends, canoeing, scuba diving, or simply river tubing to cool off.

At Ginnie Springs the safety of campers is taken quite seriously. In order to register at the Florida campground you will need to show ID as proof that you are over the age of 18. If you are not yet 18, you will need to have a legal guardian or parent accompany you to make your registration.

Other facilities that you can look forward to finding include a playground for children, restrooms that are strategically located around the park, a campground store, bath facilities, and even a laundry area.

Ginnie Springs Outdoors has been in existence since 1976 and is privately owned. It is a 5 star PADI facility that offers PADI certification.
